Abstract

Cat-scratch disease is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Bartonella henselae. The cat is its main reservoir and plays a fundamental role in the transmission of the infection to humans, who acquire it through the scratch or bite of infected cats. We present a clinical case of a 45-year-old male patient with bilateral cat-scratch disease diagnosed and treated at the uveitis and ocular inflammation service and presenting a favorable evolution.
