Advanced Nursing Practice in the specialty of Ophthalmology

Abstract

Nowadays, the relevance of advanced nursing practice is recognized in all available literature. For this reason, a systematic review was carried out during a period of one year (February 2023 to February 2024), with the purpose of evaluating the influence of advanced nursing practice in the field of ophthalmology, the results of which showed a vertiginous evolution of the discipline in the last decade. The professionals of the profession at this stage ventured into the epistemology of nursing as a science and innovative ways of evaluating the quality of nursing care through process management. For ophthalmology as a specialty, this trend has favored its progress in this field.
