Bilateral capsule contraction syndrome
Abstract
Capsule contraction syndrome is described as progressive, accelerated reduction in capsulorhexis and capsular bag diameter after extracapsular crystalline lens extraction. A case is presented of a female patient with a history of high myopia who underwent cataract surgery of both eyes without any intraoperative complication. One month after surgery the patient presents with bilateral capsule contraction syndrome. Comments are made on the clinical management of each eye.
