Abstract

Educational inclusion is related to the nature of general education and regular school. The challenge is to have a school that substantially modifies its structure, functioning and pedagogical proposal to respond to the educational needs of each and every child with the inclusion of those with disabilities. A study was carried out on the social and educational inclusion of children with disabling ophthalmologic diseases and their priority in the Cuban health system. The importance is emphasized of obtaining a social, visual and educational integration in the different levels of education. The appropriate curricular adaptations, as well as educational material and environment, are suggested to be offered through the supervision of the multidisciplinary medical team and teaching staff.
