Abstract

Orbital schwannoma is a rare benign tumour with few typical clinical and imaging features, making it difficult to diagnose preoperatively. We present the case of a 41-year-old male patient who presented with painless and progressive right ocular protrusion that had been present for three months. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed an ipsilateral intraconal tumour lesion causing the proptosis, with particular imaging features suggestive of a probable schwannoma. Total resection of the lesion was performed and the diagnosis was confirmed by histopathological examination.
